Therapy for OCD, Anxiety, Perfectionism,
Self-Doubt, and Relationship Stress
Choosing Yourself Counseling offers specialized therapy for adults and couples who feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, uncertainty, self-doubt, perfectionism, anxiety, OCD, or relationship disconnection.
My Approach
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. Depending on your needs, I may draw from CBT, ACT, ERP, Inference-Based CBT, Gottman Method, and EFT-informed couples work.
Together, we will work to better understand what is keeping you stuck, reduce patterns that are no longer serving you, and help you build more trust in yourself, your choices, and your relationships.
OCD Therapy
OCD is often misunderstood. It is not always visible from the outside, and it does not always look like cleaning, checking, or organizing.
OCD can show up as intrusive thoughts, mental compulsions, rumination, reassurance-seeking, relationship doubts, moral fears, health concerns, or the constant need to feel certain. You may know logically that a fear is unlikely, but still feel pulled to review, check, confess, research, avoid, or figure it out “just one more time.”
OCD therapy can help you change your relationship with doubt, uncertainty, and compulsive patterns so OCD has less control over your life.

Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety can make everything feel urgent, risky, or impossible to stop thinking about. You may find yourself overpreparing, avoiding, replaying conversations, seeking reassurance, or feeling like you can’t fully relax even when nothing is technically wrong.
Therapy for anxiety can help you understand your worry patterns, reduce avoidance, tolerate uncertainty, and make decisions from your values rather than fear.

Perfectionism & Self-Doubt
Perfectionism and self-doubt can be especially painful because they often hide behind responsibility, ambition, and high standards. You may be used to being capable and dependable, but inside feel exhausted by the pressure to get everything right.
Therapy can help you loosen impossible standards, quiet your inner critic, build self-trust, and learn that you do not have to earn rest, confidence, or worth through perfection.

Couples Therapy
Couples often come to therapy when they feel stuck in the same argument, disconnected from each other, or unsure how to communicate without defensiveness, criticism, or withdrawal.
Couples therapy can help you slow down the pattern underneath the conflict, understand each other more clearly, and rebuild a stronger sense of partnership. Whether you are navigating parenting stress, resentment, division of labor, emotional distance, or repeated miscommunication, therapy can help you find your way back to each other.
